Hi. New to the group. My boys and I are working on a yerf dog 3203 together. We just got a tav2 repo from ebay and are trying to put it on a predator 212 engine. The back plate is not fitting flush with the engine mount. Do I modify the backer plate to make it fit. Anyone have any experience with this issue?
Thanks

Yes I would say modify it, the amount of people I have seen on YouTube modify the plate to fit a predator is about enough to give me to confidence to say yes modify it.

Apparently the jack shaft mount was cut down by the previous owner. After awhile the torque was too much and the driven was pulled into the chain. The belt got a little torn up as well

Ah yes, because removing half of the mounting structure on a piece of high torque load aparatus is always a good idea...:sarcasm: Dang amateurs...
