Torque converter trouble shooting

Hello All, I am having some trouble with my kart rocking forward when trying to start. I understand that the belt is staying engaged but am not sure which part to blame. I removed the driver clutch and it seems fine. No broken springs, slides relatively well although I will lube since I have it apart. That brings me to the other pulley. When the other pulley [the one with the large spring, I don't know part name] is at rest, how large should the gap be where the belt goes. Mine is about 3/4 of an inch and I can't tell if that is too small and binding the belt. I hope this question makes sense. The belt is on a Predator Ghost 212cc with an unknown brand of torque converter.

Has it ran well for you ever, or have you just gotten it?

Post pictures. Lots of questions can be answered if we have pictures.

The pulley attached to the motor is the driver and the big spring one is the driven pulley.

The driven pulley is the large one on the rear of the t/c . The belt should be at the top of pulley. Now that you have the driver apart how about a picture of how the belt is sitting on the driver unit. The ONLY lube to put on the driven unit is a dry moly spray. Don't put any oil or grease which is going to attract dirt, belt dust and other "stuff" you kick up while driving.
While you are taking some pictures we also would like to see the ramps of the driven unit. The belt should be asymmetric with the flat side towards the engine. I am making the assumption it is not a series 20 which Max-Torque used as well as Comet and that belt is symmetric.

Kart was being driven at the time of first trouble. Stalled engine and the belt was engaged there after.

Looks like the weights are stuck in the driver. Need to disassemble it and pop them back into place. That happens also if you run the driver without a belt.

Looks like youre also missing the bronze bushing that goes in the driver.

The TC is either an older GPS model or a nicer Chinese clone.

I did run the driver with no belt when trouble shooting. Should the back plate be flush or should it protrude ( even slightly)to the belt side when normal?

In regards to the bronze bushing. Does that act as a spacer that holds the plates at the proper distance or is it something the belt rides on? I’m not sure it was ever there to begin with.

The (sheave) part that moves in and out of the bell (outter most part), that should retract slightly into the bell when off throttle.
