Just bought a new tc and 212 pred Engine. When I installed the kit and tried to align the driver and driven after shimming the driver here was only about 1/4 in.
PTO shaft left. Is that enough?

Nope,
but that sounds wrong anyways..

please post a pic, I know the predator has a short shaft and there is lots of moaning because of that
but a quarter inch is nowhere near what others experienced IIRC.

So show us a pic, maybe we can spot the issue ;)

The only way I've got to take pics is with my phone. I dropped a ratchet on it today. What would be the min.of shaft be to work proper. I used a straight edge to line it. I've taken out all the shims between the sprocket and jackshaft. I bought an engine for another kart last week and had the same issue. Sorry about no pics.

I understand . yes it is a 30 series. The driven is in proper. Flat is on inside on driver and driven. I'll see if I can figure something out.

I've installed two, on three different engines.
One I paid way too much for, but it has a nice back plate.
The other I paid worlds less.
The purdy one I've had on both a clone and a predator.
The cheap one I installed on my wife's bike.
None of them left me feeling real comfortable with what little bite they get on the shaft.
