Anyone know of a torque converter or clutch for a predator 670cc that can handle 40+HP and 50+TQ and 5000+RPM?

Ditch the cast stock flywheel for a billet aluminum one. You'll have to remove the charging coils under the flywheel. If you're wanting to run lights, they have a pulley kit that mounts to the flywheel side and then get an alternator with a v-belt pulley.

Can you please send me a link to a billet aluminum one?

Description does say the ring gear from the old flywheel needs to be transferred over. Also keep in mind, you'll need to lap the flywheelbto make sure it mates to the crank properly.

Sorry but LOL!!!! Can I have it when you d... are done?

Seriously though, a modified 670 and a minimal bare frame kart is a horrible combo. Youre better off putting that engine in a buggy or buying a hopped up 212. For the price of that 670, you could have just about the best 212.

EDIT: Yea after seeing the price of that frame, why not use that for a buggy? Id keep everything the same but find a nice used buggy frame rather than the basic frame. 2k will buy you a 'decent' (lol) frame...

There's nothing wrong putting a big engine, especially modified on essentially a modern take on a Manco American Express. A Predator 420 lightly modified would be the most some would do. If you do go through with this, highly recommend using a longer key on the axle. Short keys and a lot of power have been known to destroy axle key ways. So use like a 10" long or longer key and use a bunch of locking collars.

CarsandCameras put a 670 on a yard kart years ago, ended up taking out a shrub with it...RIP Jeb Bush.

Isn’t the GPS Vintage Go-Kart Roller Kit a ripoff of the large Dingo 390 frame and not the smaller Manco American Express 225/285 Dingo? I’ve never seen the dimensions but the Rotaderp V-twin might be hanging off the back if it's the latter. Will have to check back in older posts around the time when the GPS Vintage Roller Kit made its debut and see if anyone here built one.

I agree with Edwin on the best platform and best bang for the buck mentality: I’d go used go-kart all the way and probably a fully suspended buggy. I like the street racer idea though so a lowered buggy, stripped down and with slicks could be the ticket.

Dingo and AmEx are the same thing ....until they're not. There's large Dingo and small Dingo and then a further de-evolution of two seat Dingoes and other bastardizations just by Dingo name only and nothing else similar. "It's a Dingo in name only"

We've had that conversation here in the past but I don't think anyone used a measuring tape! :mad2:

I do recall a guy who modified a Dingo with full suspension and was in the process of dropping a 2 stroke snowmobile engine on it. Might have been a 440, can't recall since Minibuggy net got nuked early last year.
