If the jacks aft is a 3/4 than it used to have a comet 40 on there and most likely an 8hp Briggs. Most reasonable thing to do is just to buy 5/8 bearings and shaft and buy a standard 30 series

:iagree:

Although I've never personally used or even seen a TC, from info gained here, a 3/4" driven usually pairs with a 1" driver & a 3/4" driver pairs with a 5/8" driven...

For a 6hp Tec, any TAV2 should work & knock-offs can be found all over ebay for under $100...

If your engine has 3/4 " shaft you should get a 30 series TAV2. It has a mounting plate with built in mini jackshaft. Unless I'm mistaken, you shouldn't have to use your 3/4" jackshaft at all. With the 30series, the driven pulley, jackshaft, and sprocket are all attached to a mounting plate. So unless the jackshaft is needed for gearing or because of engine mounting position, I think you can do away with it????

The 30 series I got came with an extra belt and both the #40/41 10T sprocket and the #35 12T sprocket for about 100 bucks.

Ok Blast LED has the 40 series driven 3/4 " for $75 and the 30 series Driver 3/4" for $50. I don't know if they are directly compatable, but that's as cheap as o found

Option for 3/4" driven. $75 if you already have the 30 series driver.

no it is a murray explorer that has a jackshaft needed to run the driven needs to be 3/4 as with th driver.

What everyone is saying is why do you need to run a 3/4" jackshaft? A TAV2 has a backplate with a built in 5/8" jackshaft plus everything you need to run a TC...

I think (from Google images) the kart has the axle sprocket on the passenger side and crankshaft on driver side. Can't tell if it's a live axle or if it's possible to move the sprocket to the same side of the engine as the crankshaft. If possible I was thinking maybe you could bypass (or cut off) the current jackshaft.

Cheapest solution, get 5/8" jackshaft kit
