Look at this chart and make sure you have the right belt. The ctc distances they give are exact. If your ctc distance is not on this chart, that might be the problem. Post a pic of what you have.....

Sorry I could not figure out how to post a picture to save my life . I do believe I have a 30 seires it has the #20 stamp , the driven had a "7 dia. I did find my center distance and is "6 5/8 . The belt has about "1 - "1 "1/4 of play . The belt won't come off if I tried to pull it off and over the driven. Now the driver it self does seem a bit beat up I'd say from the chain busting from the previous owner and the outside plate of the driver does wiggle or move independently if I turned it . Is this normal? I also discovered some slotted holes on the bottom of the motor mount plate to were the motor could be adjusted front or back . But the driven bearing type thing does seen attached to the motor it self . Would moving this tighten the belt a bit and would it also loosen the chain ? Sorry for so many questions I'm just new to the kart world but am eager to learn lol

6 5/8" ctc might be part of the problem, as I didn't see that listed...... I think we need pics to figure out the problem. You should not have that much slack in the belt..... Read the sticky, "how to post pics".......
When posting, hit the "advanced" icon. Towards the bottom, you will see a "manage attachments " icon. Hit that.... The rest is self explanatory..... If you need help still, just hollar........

Although this is (somewhat) related to the main topic, I have a feeling this will go on for a bit so, I decided to move your posts to a new thread...

This thread will help you figure out how to post pics
