Hi everyone, I wanted to start another thread to ask about using a Torque Convert WITH a jackshaft. I am replacing the motor and torque converter on a Black Widow go-kart I bought and I'm not sure how to go about replacing the TC on this setup. Can I just use a regular 30-series TC? Will all of the holes and everything on the back-plate align with the jackshaft that's built into the kart? I'm looking at getting THIS TC from Amazon. I really only need the driver/clutch side, backplate and cover, though. IF I do only get the driver side, I will get THIS. Also, the stock one uses a 420 chain but it looks like these other ones use a 35 chain...are those cross-compatible? I JUST bought a new chain! Below is a schematic and picture of my kart. Thank you!
Oh, also, part #4 on the schematic below says "Jackshaft with stepdown." Does that mean it just tapers down to a smaller size? The full parts list is HERE.
