Top RPM

I recently got this go kart, and i usually go fast on it. Once in a awhile i would try to stay on the top rpm (about 3600 rpm) for a sec or two. I was just wondering, is it fine to stay on the 3600 range for a longer time even tho I still have the governer.

i would say so. most engines can run 3600 for a while with out problems.

well i dont know why you need to stay at top rpm. i rarely stay on top rpm. i think you can go few minutes on top rpm but not recommended

well the engine should be able to run that RPM for a while no problem. most are built to.

If I understand...you want to run at 3600 rpm for more than a second or two?
You can run all day at top governed speed without any fear.
Most lawnmowers/generators/chippers/tillers run constantly at 3600 rpm...for days at a time.

No worries at all. These engines are designed to run their entire working life at 3600RPM.
