I have a nice new go kart and it moves a bit too well. I have a Master 196cc 6.5hp engine and a centrifugal clutch. When I start the engine the car starts moving slowly. And when I drive with my foot not on the gas pedal, the car moves on quite well. Is my clutch too sensitive or is my car too light or my gearing too low or high. Please help me, it would help a lot.

^^^^ what he said. If that doesnt work you might just have to deal with it. To fix it you would have to have a parking break( just something to hold the brake in the engaged position)

Make sure you're oiling the clutch bushing on a regular basis. Keep that part as free-wheeling as possible because otherwise, this rotating assembly has a tendency to create forward momentum with whatever drag or friction exists.

The only place you want friction is inside the clutch bell where the shoes meet it.

Also, is it normal that when the engine is on and tires are on the ground the car doesn't move, but when i lift the rear of the ground the wheels start spinning. Is it normal.

Mine never move off the ground. While running. Sounds like a burnt clutch to me. Does it make any noise at all ?
