never thought i'd say it, but i gotta get out of that garage.... between the cart, the jeep (now :/), and also currently gf's car i have been existing between there and this screen for about a week now, people stop by and i'm like an angry creature poked out from under a rock by kids with sticks, i crave warmth, clean clothes that aren't full of holes, steel splinters, and smelling strongly of gear oil, maybe to watch a movie, out to eat, or take the willys up in the hills... that's out, would have to put on hardtop, more work.... i'm gonna get this dang car done, then a mini vacation, don't know or care where, time to escape the dungeon.

Oh...no....my friend....such adversions to the process are commonplace....however....have no fear....all enter....into the light....

Soon....all other diversions....will fade....which is as should be...and you will become one with the brotherhood of kartucus anonomish......

Welcome....all....into the fold.....all....into the light......:lolgoku:

THE LIGHT, THE LIGHT! it burns my eyes.... a trip to the auto parts store... this guy dies, and winds up in ****... the devil leads him down a hall and invites him to choose a room to spend eternity in, door after door he sees all his friends standing on their heads, then a room, 4 people he truly can't stand just sitting there, drinking coffee, "well even though i hate them it doesn't look as bad as what the others are getting" he thinks, and sits down for a cup of joe... then the devil returns "coffee breaks over" he says "back on your heads" :D.... yup to the auto parts store, then back on my head lol :D

it's done!, it's done! the car is done!, now for a day of rest tomorrow, besides some mild xmas shopping, since losing job no one wants anything and will be mad if i show up with anything much more than a card, but i truly think it will ruin my xmas if i can't get a few presents for people close to me, i love to see people's faces when they open what i've gotten, or made for them, often told i get the best presents, that's my favorite part...gonna try to think up some stuff i could make easily on the cheap that i haven't already done...

CheeperJoel haircut gift cards?????:lolgoku:
hmmm... not a bad plan, a few male members of family could benefit from a quick butchering, however probably not the best idea transforming the ladies into lesbians....
A very simple but very handy thing to have
i like it, wooden cutting board wouldn't be too bad on the wallet, but sold router and majority of woodworking tools, just work with metal these days
Gotta get out of the garage???? Oh man, I hope I never get to that point.
it happens, i was getting there before this "vacation from employment" anyway, working in garage weekends, fabbing all week, at least then there were 2 environments, life can't consist of labor alone, there must be some human interaction as well, as it was said at the end of movie "into the wild"- "happiness isn't real unless it's shared" knuckles are cut, body is wrecked, i can't just be a machine, must remember that i'm human not designed to only turn wrenches, weld, scrape gaskets, grind, the infinite list of labor intensive activities i've indulged in lately... must have time for some rest as well, a balance, and lately i've fallen entirely off the balance beam....

i do not miss working outdoors, used to live in mountains, much of willy's jeep was built in the snow....

Too much time? Wish I had more! Got 3 dirtbikes in parts, ute pulled apart, surf needs work and the landcrusier waiting for cancer surgery! 13hrs/6 days a week doesn't seem to help tho.
May just need to farm it out. How sads that?!

Ha I can accept that
Too much time in the garage

I'm sure rusty will understand too

After spending all day fixing crap
That last thing I wanna do is come Home and fix more crap

Been putting off servicing the cruiser ( pickup) for a few days
Can't be assed crawling round in the dirt to change the oils after just spending 14 days doing that on a mine site in the desert

I know
Very lazy
Maybe I should look at getting a cement pad to put the cruiser on
So I'm not servicing in a sand pit

EDIT

Arrrr
So now I try to service it
But iv got 5 lts of vmx gear oil
Need 7 to do gearbox and transfer case
Dam it 1 hr trip to shops and back here we go

Ah, the ol' "round tuit" :lolgoku: I've had one for years but, it doesn't usually help, it still takes me forever do do some things... I'm still amazed that I finished my kart build last year...

I, too, find it difficult to understand the concept of "too much garage time", recently, it's been the opposite for me, not enough garage time, I've barely done anything...
