I'm about to buy a set of Azusa, 5" wheels for my Dingo. I plan on using the kart on asphalt mainly. The Kenda slicks that I ran years ago would always develop a "memory," so to speak, where the tread would deform and stay that way. What options are there for asphalt slicks in a 5" on a regular, yard kart 3" wide rim that won't do this?

I've heard and seen that happening before but don't know how to mitigate it. Maybe keep on top of your tire pressures every time you ride.
Maybe look into tires designed for concession karts, the pay-to-ride amusement karts. Those karts basically put in 8+ hour days.

For example:

I've seen some of them with 8 ply construction...🤯

Due to the way the frame is configured, you may have to have 5" rims on the front and 6" (for example) on the rear to maintain the proper stance. Check out this parts manual:

Of course a Dingo is a glorified American Express 225 just like that kart. It even has the typical Dingo roll cage.
