and the rear axle was bent and the tires were bald, so i removed them, now i need a new axle and tires/rims i was thinking 1" Live Axle 40" $20.00 from bmi w/:

1/2" 4 bolt pattern on a 4" bolt hole circle

x2
Split Rim 6"
4 hole split rim with 2 13/16" bolt circle and 2" center hole
Outside width is 4"
Outside Diameter is 7 1/4"
Width for tire is 4 3/8"
Outside Diameter for Tire is 6"

im replacing the bald tires because the tire is starting to bubble and the slick is going to be thicker than a bald golf kart tire. and i plan on power washing and painting this weekend =)

apparently the hubs and rims are different sizes

Single flange hub to fit our split rims.
4-hole, 2 13/16" bolt circle.
1" bore with 1/4" keyway.
Overall Hub Length is 3-1/4"
Hub Length from Flange to End of Hub is 2.05" & 1"

that is the correct hub size for the rims i need

I bought 8" wide tires and 8" wide rims and the edge of the rim sticks out a bit. I was told that when buying 3 wheeler tires to get the rim a couple inches smaller than the tire so the edge of the rim doesnt stick out. they said the tire will stay on the bead better. I havnt rode mine around but im already thinkin about getting 6" wide rims for the 8" wide tires. I hope I this didnt add to the confusion more.

k. see how the lip of the rim is sticking out farther than the tire? both tire and rim are 8". if the rim were 6" the side wall of the tire would "baloon" out more. it would be like the 2nd pic.

make sence now?

Completely misread that, i thought you said 6" wide tire and 8" wide rim which made no sense at all, and i was thinking it would work better the other way.
