My chain falls off and very quickly. I'm going to guess that either my engine isn't on straight or my sprocket isn't aligned well. It stays on even at full throttle with the back end lifted and Noone on it but falls off when you go to ride it almost immediately. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on aligning it or any idea how to keep it aligned if that's the problem. I don't think it's too loos. About 1/4 inch slack. Kids haven't even got to try it yet because I want it running properly before they do but I can't get the chain to stay on it. I don't wanna put any lock tight on any set screws until I know it's in a good spot and stays put

You could use a straight edge, like a square. It could be you need a tension er, but you say the chain is not too lose.

I would start by putting a straight edge to it and posting a pic of it here for people to see.

Is the engine mounting plate nice and solid? Could the mounting plate be flexing? Might want to check it out.

Straight edge. and or a square. Try adjusting the chain tension a little more. If I recall, you have a new chain and it will stretch anyway.
Make sure the Axle is square with the Clutch sprocket and or engine itself.
Pretty much you just gotta make sure everything is square.

What I used for my bike, is a piece of angle iron the length from sprocket to sprocket. clamp with a vicegrip to the rear(for ex..) and move the other till it touches.... or the reverse....

I posted in go kart discussions so...... everything aside from the frame and stearing components are new. Live axle with no suspension. somewhere there is an issue I believe with axle wobble bit it corrects itself before the sprocket. Just kinda hard getting this done myself and only being able to use 1 hand. When I get a chance I think Im going to take off the engine mount ant start there to make sure its all straight. Seems to be ok until my fat @ss gets on it. I gotta mess with my throttle and stuff anyhow so I can do that while I have the engine off and maybe get rid of my govenor

I had one I did not bolt the Sprocket to the Hub on center and it threw the chain.
The bolt holes were NOT a tight fit to the bolts, and all the play ended up on one side rather than center. Just had to unbolt and refit.
Maybe something to look at. But I think we already discussed that on another of your threads???

Could be a possibility. I noticed that when bolting it on but I thought i got it sorted. i think one of my hangers may be off idk. The one side wobbles but not once the wheel is on and it seems corrected by the time it gets to the sprocket. Axle is new I doubt its warped. Something did look fishy with my clutch tho. The outer part didnt seem flush with the inside. Ill try to get at it sometime soon. I may thro a sprocket gaurd on it and see if that helps but where i wanna order from doesnt have one big enough I dont think.

Wasn't there something Fishy about those Cassette bearings too. Maybe thats the wobble you see at the hangar.
When you drive it and the chain falls off. Keep in mind there is a ton of side force put on the axle hangars and bearings while turning. They need to be tight and proper. not "off" or "wobbly"
I am sorry I have seen your Kart, but I am not familiar with Bearing Casettes.

The cassettes just required screws to tighten them not included. I could tell the used them but when I asked bmi about them at first they said no they didn't take screws
