timing key

I recently installed a 94ss dyno cam in my 5hp briggs along with a billet rod and lifters after I got it back together it will start after a few pulls but it screams for about five seconds then die and is dang near impossible to start again since I have such an aggressive cam do I need to advance my timing or what can I do to remedy this anything will help thanks

I bought a 94ss dyno cam for a flathead 5hp briggs is there anything else I might need to get or do to make it work right i.e. advanced timing key, upgraded valves and springs, jetting the carb, etc... any thoughts would help greatly thank you

Well....it's right there in the description: "billet lifters are not required, but new valves must be installed to achieve proper valve lash..."
