Tillotson Manco Go Kart problems Need help ASAP!

Hi everyone im new here. Ive been having problems with a go kart i bought a week ago and cant resolve it. NEEED HELP PLEASE!
I have a tillotson 212cc on a Manco frame (dont know what year kart) and it has very jerky acceleration, the kart is acting like im letting off the gas pedal but im NOT. Its frustrating guys. And the steering feels deadly. It throws me easily left or right, not like any other kart ive rode. The throttle cable isnt a throttle cable. Its 2 steel cables tied together. But even if i dont use my pedal and just linkage its still dojng it. Any suggestions please??

Fixed the steering. Working on the carb. Hopefully thats my problem

What kind of clutch are you running & gearing ??

I set up one of those engines ect. on a Mini bike.

If it's a Max torque type clutch,, is it the stock spring ?
Stock spring is a ''silver'' 2,200rpm.
We run the ''green'' 2.600 springs on the Mini's.
Green spring definitely smooths things out.
