Some pictures might help to avoid confusion. Are you using the governor? Also which way does the butterfly valve have to turn to open the throttle. On the 212cc it is opposite the 390cc.

Hopefully somebody with that engine will come around.

AFAIK, the "big block" duromax are simply a larger version of the "small block", everything is the same except size so, connecting the throttle (in standard format) should be the same as any other clone... pics will confirm...

I can confirm 99%ish......... I have the 420cc clone and just hooked mine up.

And I need a pic also for what your using and not using. I just did this on mine. But we may not be using the same stuff.

Here I just ran mine and started the buildoff project for the first time. I am not running the governor or tho.............

Note the linkage and cable are moving the same direction. All you gotta do is make them move the exact same direction on the big block style engines.

You may have to make something to hold / clamp on the cable housing (maybe just a bolt or small plate with hole and bolt, some use an "L" bracket) and then just find a way to attach the loose end of the wire (like wrapping around a bolt and sandwiching between two nuts).
The pic and videos should give you an idea of what you are trying to accomplish.
