Throttle on Manco Dingo

So I picked up a dingo for $300 off of facebook and im trying to get it running. This is my first time working on small engines or owning a gokart and I have some questions. Firstly, if anyone can tell me what the model is that would be amazing. The serial number doesnt seem to help. Secondly, I cannot for the life of me figure out how this throttle cable is supposed to actually connect to the governer. Previously it was tied with copper wire and they had a ****ty spring on the throttle pedal itself but im trying to make this thing look less half-assed. Ur a life saver. I didnt think that was my cart cause of the roll cage but the throttle seems the same

The kart in post #1 is the larger Dingo with the 8HP Briggs and Stratton. I think it's this one and the throttle control is illustrated on the last page:

Post some pics of what you have. These Manco karts had quite a selection of powerplants; 13HP Honda, 12HP Tecumseh, 9HP Vanguard, 9HP Briggs L-head... 🤳

Even *real* carburetors have the throttle plate/governor control. Not a bad thing to have, a governor that is constantly working to maintain the same RPM when the engine bogs.

That certainly looks like a Briggs control plate.

The cable and spring are easy on the outside. Have you figured out the governor spring on the block side of that plate?
