As the title says - I got my throttle installed and working on the harbor freight 6.5hp 197cc blue engine

Not the best setup, but it does work. Need to make sure it stays working :)

All I have left is my brakes and getting the chain links connected then this is ready to drive.... :)

the arm coming out of the engine block is the governor arm. hooking the throttle cable directly up to that should just completely bypass the Governor, allowing your engine to rev past what it's usually made to operate at.

if you would like to allow the governor to do its job and let the engine red-line at its designed rpm of 3600, you need to change things.

something like this should be good, just make sure the arm turns easily, and has a return spring, http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=10085
