Throttle Cable Stop

So I recently scored a 212 predator from a water pump at a yard sale for $50, and I plan on putting it on my Manco go kart. This engine doesn't have a throttle cable stop/holder and I can't find them anywhere that looks like this. Where can I find one?

You might be able to get one at a lawnmower/tool rental shop.... Most have a scrap bin of stuff they might be willing to part with....

Trawl ebay for Predator parts. I bet some seller has parts take-offs galore. You can probably get that whole governor arm (plus the throttle stop) for cheap.

Yea, like he said, I get lots of missing and generic engine parts from the eBay for real cheap...the knock off junk probably comes off the same Chinese assembly line... remember that.

Why does it have to be exactly like the photo though?

There's cable stops in every shape and size. Even though I hate O'Reilly's here's an example:

The ones in the link you posted would hold the cable, but have no way of mounting on the throttle linkage.

See if this link helps at all, usually those engines are pretty standard across the board. There isn't a whole lot fastening the throttle cable.

They have a through hole that is threaded...Take another screw that matches the thread...screw it just loose to the plate, put blue locktite to hole it fast... carry on with the throttle cable...
