Throttle cable installation issues

So, before I start building my gokart, I want to make sure that I have all the parts that I need, and at this point I have about 90% of everything I need, with the tie rods, some sheet metal, and bolts/nuts being the last things to order.
Regarding the title of this post, the engine that I ordered didn't really have anywhere to attach a throttle cable, and since I have already removed the governer spindle/arm and welded the hole shut, the possibility of somehow attaching a throttle cable has been lost. I don't have pictures with me at the moment, but the entire carb air inlet assembly is just the choke, with a wire hanger attached to where the governer rod was mounted onto, so that I could easily open and close the choke.
Before I thought using the hanger, I had a throttle cable which I bent (kinda a mistake I realize now since it is now loose on the end) to fit onto the choke, but I could not get it to fit.
Today I was looking over several videos/resources on throttle cable linkages and brainstorming different ways of how to link the throttle pedal to the choke. This is what I came up with (design on paper with things not to scale, and far apart):

(I don't know why images don't show)

If you're confused, I am too, since all this is probably too much to just link a pedal to a choke. It's just that I need the throttle cable to be secure to the choke without the linkage I will make coming apart. I was also thinking to buy one of these things from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/s?k=throttle...x=throttle+cable+,aps,192&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_7_15, but that seems overboard too.
This is my throttle cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V1QPYFQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, and engine: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MTD-208cc-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
What can I do?
I can supply actual pictures of the of my situation tomorrow as it's late right now.
