So I have my go kart going now and when I drive it I have to literally slam on the brakes to get it to even slow down. I think the problem is the throttle butterfly. (its a 6.5hp harbor freight engine). When im messing with it while i have the drive tire off the ground I can see that when it accelerates and then let off the acceleration the butterfly takes a very long time to go back to touching the screw. It sometimes doesnt even go back to touching the screw all together. I can "close" the butterfly manually but then the engine shuts off. Really confused here. The only thought i have is to run a spring from the butterfly so that it forces the buttfly against the spring as soon as i release the throttle. Any help would be apreciated!!!
