Throttle and Brake Help!

I got the motor mounted and am working on the throttle and brakes. The problem I have is I dont know how to hook up the brakes yet. It looks like it has a band brake on it, So I might order a band inline for it, Will that include all the parts to hook up to the the pedal? Or will I need to get an extra brake cable and use that? And that brings me to my next question I have. For the throttle hook up, I am planning to use this http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1183

Would this work with a predator for HF? And can I get the brake cable at somewhere like wall-mart or a bike shop? Thanks!

Inline band? I don't follow. Post pics of what you have, and we'll try to get you sorted out. Regarding the throttle, you should be able to easily adapt one of many methods to suit your engine. Have a look here- http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=10036 and look at all the throttle hookup threads. This should give you sufficient info to work with.

Walmart sells lengths of bicycle brake cable and casing for cheap that you can cut to fit. There are other stores that will, too. Failing all else, go to a bike shop.

Same Kart

I have that same kart. Nuts for spacers, just like yours.
I took pictures of how mine is hooked up. Your brake rod should hook up the same way as mine. The first picture is from the top. Your brake rod will connect on the band from the top. The second picture is from the bottom. Your band will hook on to the kart here.
