I had this article emailed to me, I thought it was intriguing.

http://gethandytoolbox.com/archive/...ticleid/6307/product-test-weld-wo-inert-gases

The welder welds with some type of water-alchohol solution. Has anyone evryheard of a product like this?

Here is a page from the manufacturer's website -

Thought you guys would find it interesting as well.

I found a video as well

I believe an oxygen-acetylene torch could do anything that machine can, at a much lower cost too. That machine is impressive, although not really worth it. You could probably get yourself a new Miller-matic 252 for that kind of money.

Looks interesting but, at $2.5k, I'm not gonna be using one anytime soon...

:ack2: Between my Dad and I, we don't have $2500.00 into all the welding equipment on our farm!! 1 AC buzz box (stick, 175 amp cap.), 1 AC/DC industrial power source (stick,350 amp cap.), 1 AC/DC stick/tig ind. power source w/ water cooled torch, (310 amp cap.), and My baby Lincoln lunch box mig, 135 amp cap. Also 2 Oxy/Act rigs; 1 rated to cut 1/2" plate, the other rated for 1 1/2".

You can justify the cost using this basic formula; (as a business) you look at the #'s; to improve our efficiency, we really need "X" piece of equipment. Problem is,"X" piece costs ":ack2::censored:".

:toetap05: At this point you got two choices; go without, or build it yourself. Part of that cost/benefit analysis is what equipment would be needed.

I can really sympathies with all of you that are trying to convince your spouses why you need "---------" for your hobby; it's bad enough working it out as a part of a business.

LOL. I was wondering why he needed a cordless drill......then flames came out.....then I was wondering why he needed a huge torch to light the thing.......Then I realised it was the welder all along

Maybe I need to get some fresh air lol
