This mini bike worth $50?

I think i might go and pick this up (its a 100 mile drive their and back). Its only $50 MINI BIKE

Looks like it needs paint, front wheel, brakes, motor + clutch, seat

I know i can make the seat and i have a motor so i think im looking at $120 to get a front wheel, clutch,paint, and brakes. Is it worth it?

personally i would not pay 50 for it. I would take a longer look around you will find better. I bought a mini bike for 60 and it works perfect. Also judging from the condition of the back wheel i would say new bearings would be on your list.

where would the cheapest place be to get 2 wheels (rim, tire,tube,sprocket,drum?) for it? I guess i need the rear wheel with a sprocket and drum on it?

Easily $50 It has some nice front springs. Which would be really nice on my mini... I have all that you need for tires. PM me.

I think that's a old taco. I heard there worth something to a mini collector. I'd try to talk him down on the price.

I would pay $20 for it, but never drive 100mi for it. Not really worth the price unless it is local.

Start pricing it out. How much is a wheel, and a sprocket/drum, and brake, and engine, and clutch, and chain..... Add $50 for the bike and another $50 in incidentals, shipping, tax on the parts you order. Are you willing to spend that on that mini bike?

Off the top of my head (assuming you don't get anything used):
Clutch - $45
Chain - $15
Chain Breaker tool - $15
Sprocket w/drum - $30
Internal drum brake - $35
2 Wheels - $60
Tires - $30
Tubes - $15

Add in the cost of the frame and you're at $295

Sounds like you'd be better to get a local $200 bike or just get a doodle-bug from NH assembled, ready to ride for $279 and replace the 2.5hp with a 6.5 Clone.

Chain Breaker (Punch & Grinder)
Sprocket with drum (guy just told me it has that)
Brakes $25
1 Wheel (might have 1 or 3, now that i have looked =P)
Tires & Tube already on the wheels

So im looking at $90 plus the frame, i just offered 25 for it. So if i buy it for that im looking at $115 which i think is reasonable. But with my luck, rear wheel/brake wont be right, and my wheels wont fit. So if he says $25 i should go for it?
