Hey all checking in from Minnesota. Just started kart building a week ago when my son asked if we could build him one. Went out and bought a lincoln pro mig, hooked up with a local metals supplier and fabricatore (very cool guy and great deal on metal) and away we go! This has been fun already and I'm excited to keep going with it. Spent 7 hrs welding together the frame last Saturday and I'm just waiting on some parts to get it going. I've wanted to build an offroad buggy for years now and thanks to my son I'm now set up to do it, so as soon as his is done I'm starting on mine. Anyone else building or that has built the offroad buggies I'm always up for convo, really want this thing to be scary fast lol. I grew up on motocross, snowmobiles, four wheelers, etc so I'm all about snap your neck power

Oops been a few months...

Hey guys sorry for not checking in been crazy busy with work and my builds. Here's some pics of the first kart and the off-road buggy I'm building now. So excited about this one, already have a great R1 engine I found on Craigslist awhile back so been putting in some late nights. Thing should be a total beast!

Awesome! That buggy with an r1 is going to fly. Make sure you build it really well, you don't want the frame splitting in half at 60 mph...

Thanks man and for sure I'm taking my time with it. My steel supplier is also a professional fabricator so he gave me some great advice on making it strong. I was hoping to get a few runs before winter so I could spend it painting and fabricating the body panels but not sure that's gonna happen... still a lot to do. But I'm not gonna rush anything or cut corners.
