Thinking of building my first kart, worth it?

Didn't mean that to sound snarky, hope it didn't come across that way.
The Stinger is a classic vintage kart, in an ideal world it would be restored and not cobbled into a Frankenkart...but the owner can do as he sees fit.
K&P ( Bug ) went out of business earlier this year but there are sources for pretty much anything needed through the vintage kart
fraternity.

If you look at the Stinger in the link I posted, you can see how the steering us supposed to go.
It's a bit goobed up the way it is now, he's got the spindles pointed the wrong way which is why the tie rods are cattywhompus.

Ah, I see that now. Should be an easy change around.

I'm thinking that may not be the original
steering shaft, it's way longer and doesn't have the same type tie rod mount as the blue one. Shouldn't be hard to replace.
Edit: I stand corrected, he's just got it pushed down all the way.
