Does that come with the wiring harness. If not you might have your work cut out for you. He said it is ready to bolt in and ride. I take that to mean it is just the engine with nothing that is not bolted to the engine . If you don't have a complete bike to put it in you're not going to be able to bolt it in and ride. He said he is parting out the bike. I'd try to get the whole thing ( duel frt disc brakes and if is a eurosport or turbo it will have rear disc too ). Otherwise you are going to have to buy all the stuff you need some place else and figure out all of the measurements to make motor mounts . Being between a 78'-83' it might not be that many parts but it is the 1st V-twin honda made so I'm betting it is overly complex. It should have a tranny with it but it spins the opposite direction of the crank on a flying v . About 50hp at max rmp . I'd find out what else you'll need and if its a lot pass. call a honda shop tell them what you plan to use it for and they will know. Good luck.

Ad says "all the cables/electrical connecters/coolant pipes still attached" so, fingers crossed. However, I don't see a carb...

:iagree: It should have an internal gearbox

looks good

yes u need the carbs and headers would be good as well

make sure all the electrics are there

im sure the gear box is internal
but this bike is shaft drive so it might take a bit to convert it to a usable engine

He also says " you basically just need to plug it in reattach everything" That leads me to believe the wiring harness is not part of the deal. since he is parting it out get harness and radiator. It is easier to modify a wiring harness than make one from scratch .

just check

dont bother with the rad its too small for what u want
there really isnt much past the engine and its systems that u can use
u can get the brakes but its a risk as it can get dam expensive to adapt them

its a bit hard to search for u as we dont know your location or your ablility to get places

also the acceptable distances change in each country

id accept a 500km round trip for a good deal but it all depends

just google makes of bike and engine capacity

iv typed in a few models of 600s off the top of my head and they are coming in thick and fast for stupidly low prices
an yamaha r6 bare engone 340 pounds
gsxr600 100 pounds (a risky one but...)

if u can get the drive shaft with the engine then u can mod it to suit what u want
u could cut the yoke apart and weld a sprocket to it or u would send it to a diff from a small car

Wiring harness
Gearbox( although i was thinking lately torque converter)
Engine with plenty available spares etc

Tah Daaaaaaa :cornut:

Hope this suits and at under 200GBP (inc shipping) I cancerainly afford to add/fix/tune/service etc.I'm fairly happy about it, i know as no one else has bid then wheres the catch right:eek:

Well upon talking for past hour i have come to belive it is being sold due to a wreck but nothing serious.

I can here a couple of scary noises but upon further reading this is most likley leaky exhaust ports somwhere, chain tensioner or a couple other not to bad things.

Oh Yeh :D My mum reminded me tonight i have an uncle (married in/divorced out of the family) Who has his own garage and specialists in bikes, and i just happen to know he has had a cbr600 similar age a while back :wai:

This pic shows a replacement exhaust port bolt(Middle, Needs genuine one)

let me know what yall think
Cheers

I think you just got a steal. I'd have no issue paying over $400 Canadian for that.

Agreed i really am pleased as i have found nothing similar as regards to the completeness with crabs, airbox, headers etc :D

Haha aye would just be suicide trying too. So as i have plenty spare time and no deadline its going to be that frame but on steroids :p Infact the more i design my buggy the less origonal parts left in the build Haha

Cool . Everything is cooler when hulked up. When you start beefing the frame this will help. http://www.metalgeek.com/static/cope.pcgi just enter your dimensions , copy then print , overlay , mark W/sharpy , and cut for perfect fit. Someone else posted about the site a while back , so thank them:cheers2:.
