AISIN AMR300 Supercharged Hemi Predator 212.

This is how I imagine everything fitting together.

Feel free to comment, question, critique…

I really am in over my head.

Induction is not my speciality. My speciality is scouring the interwebs for mostly useless info. It’s the INTP in me. I never studied fluid dynamics but I feel like ECO Extreme is baiting me to “Go All Bob” on de-atomization / re-atomization, turbulent flow, and the like.

The pluming as is starts as 1.25” after the carb, then expands up to 2.5” for the intercooler and bypass valve “housing” tube, then back down to 1.25” into the intake port.

I wanted to comment on the welds, but I've always thought you were cool, so I thought I would let it slide. Actually my opinion has nothing to do with it, you are cool. This is a great project.

Im not sure why I said Eco Extreme??? I meant ezcome ezgo. Was there a member named Eco Extreme or maybe my dyslexia is showing?

I was using my harbor freight flux core, which I'm not practiced with, and burned through it. Then I tried to fix it. It might be air tight now, or perhaps I just gave up last time I was interested in this project. I may try to find a local muffler shop and see if they can fix it if it needs fixing.

In the name of safety, I ordered a 6500 RPM Rev Limiting Coil from EC Carburetors. I was looking for a rev limiting coil that worked with a stock style flywheel back then. I didn't know they made them. I guess the harbor freight ghost engine has a stock coil that limits a stock flywheel to 6200 RPM or so. EC carbs sells a 6500 RPM one for $15. I wonder if it is simple to adjust. Maybe just swapping a resistor or something.

The ignition magnet is still not "safe" at 6500 rpm. Any known techniques for securing the magnet better?

Since the mods have disappeared and nobody around to open up my old thread.

The cam in this engine is from NR Racing.

220 duration,
0.280" lift
104 Intake Center Line
(116 Exhaust Center Line)
110 Lobe Separation Angle

28.5mm Intake Valve
25mm Exhaust Vale
For some reason I think I have the normal hemi rocker on the intake side and a 1.2 ratio rocker on the exhaust side.
I think it has 26lb valve springs. But I may have had the spring pockets done for larger springs when I had the valve / head work done.
I think the sim software I was playing with at the time told me the exhaust needed to flow more or something.

I haven’t done much.
I cut the expensive, shiny, bendy carb adapter in half so I can rotate the top part to match angle of approach.
I trimmed some of the 2.5” tubing pieces so everything would fit.
I think I managed to make both pull and key start near impossible.

I ordered this little gear puller but don’t think it will work. I tried with a little tool that looked similar. I think I was using a valve spring compressor tool in an unauthorized manner but basically the same thing. I used some PB Blaster, then will try some heat, then this little puller.

The supercharger pulley doesn’t want to come off.

2” OD, 3/4” Bore on crankshaft.
3.25” OD, 17mm bore on blower.
28.3” Belt Length

Under driven 1.625 : 1

185cc per crank shaft revolution.
(212cc 4 stroke is 106cc per rev)

185/106 = 1.75
1.75 x 14.7 = 25.7
25.7 - 14.7 =

11 psi of boost possible

if the engine turns 6500 rpm,
The blower will spin 4000 rpm

I’m not sure what kind of ring gap this engine has from the factory…

If I go with 0.0055” of gap per inch of bore…

2.835” x 0.0055 = 0.016”

According to this chart for less than 15lbs of boost a 70mm bore needs 0.016” ring gap on first and second ring.
