I've never had a dirt bike or motorcycle. Had a snowmobile and have my Blaser. But since I was 12 I've wanted a motorcycle. Well that hasn't happened yet, but would like to in the near future. Now I'm prepared to get a ton of crap from you guys, but I'm honestly thinking about either a Can-Am Spyder or the new Ryker with the Rotax 600 ACE. Main difference between the two are size and transmissions. The Spyders were offered with a standard 6 speed manual, but now have a semi-auto transmission. The Ryker 600 and 900 are snowmobile engines, properly tuned and cooled for spring/summer riding and have CVT. Might be worth looking at one.

Personally I love the 2018 F3 I rented for a weekend. Great performance, response, and very comfortable with the short reach bars. 0-60 in a 1acre course was about 4ish seconds. The Ryken has the $5k price chop going for it but it's also a smaller cc. From a 35-0mph stop test it was 18ft until the tires skirted (ABS IS AMAZING). I would highly recommened getting a spider. If not go with an Indian Scout Sixty. Great little bike. Plenty of power. And smile to price ratio matches the Spyder.

yes kartor, crap, those are not motorcycles. they are machines and for that reason I think they are cool, until someone says they are a motorcycle. they say 4 wheels move the body while 2 wheels move the soul, 3 wheels are just 3 wheelers

However in some states, they are considered motorcycles. As well as the Slingshot and the Elio. The CEO of Elio is seeking to have the rules changed, mostly for his three wheeled vehicle to be bought by all without restriction.

Yes, I know it's "Chinese". Yes, I know it's not really 250cc. And yes, I know I could get a "namebrand" dual sport for the same price...but

It will be brand new, with warranty. It costs less than $1400 brand new shipped to my door. And the few issues it has are able to be fixed easily and cheaply. So come spring I will be getting one I have a deal where I can have a 0% interest rate if paid in full within 6 months, up to $1,000. So put $400 down and have a under $200 payment for 6 months for a brand new bike...that's my plan.

And they can be made street legal in Ga as well.

Basically what it is lol...lots of reviews on YT, mostly positive. I will keep following this thread and update when I get it

Whatever the case stay away from the new Goldwings and Yamaha Star Ventures. Crap reviews, no fun if you can barely have the driver and passenger on it before you exceed max payload, and I dont know about anyone else but I like my bars attached in a direct link to my wheel. Not a 23 individual part canter-lever Auto Lane assist "smart system". Then again I could just be old fasioned. I would say start samll like a 600 V Star or similar and work your way up. Most schools use a GN250 or Rebel 250 to teach on. These are good bikes for around town but they can get a bit squirrelly around 60. Plus they HATE being overheated. But its all up to the rider. Find the Smile/Price/Warranty/Service ratio best for you (IE stay away from the Hundred Dollar hotpipes)

Only have this bike at the moment. Bought it new in 2016. Indian Scout Sixty. Did some mods... best of which were the exhaust, and PVCX to unlock the ECM. Fun bike.

While not "mine", I am storing this 2017 Victory for a friend that moved to PA and did not want to take it with him. He's asked that I keep it protected from the elements, keep battery charged, change oil when needed etc, and of course ride it on occasion. As it turns out my Dyna is parked while we wait for a new voltage regulator from Dennis Kirk so it's Victory time. And you know I cant stand those factory handlebars so yeah I'm making custom T bars for it!

I cant believe I own 2 Harley Davidsons now! As much as I LOVE my 2003 FXDX the tired 88ci engine just struggled to keep up with the pack which always leaves the line like a gun shot. So I bought a 2017 FXDB Dyna Street Bob 103ci. It's fast, smooth, and sexy. I'm a Dyna guy.

May put the Bassani exhaust on it this weekend and look for T-bars

I had to put forward controls on it almost immediately because the mids were hurting my belly and knees (dang it I'm getting old)
