I kid you not the FIRST time I fired this thing up it stuck at WOT and wheelied right dead smack into a Prius 20ft away. Funniest BLEEP ever... though I fear I may have devalued the bike. (2hrs ago btw)

Now the question is WHY does the governor keep it at WOT and not adjust itself? I put a new cable on but neither the valve or governor move when I pull the lever. Can anyone send any ACTUAL pics of what goes to what since I rarely deal with Honda small engines?

Did you remove the gov arm from the top of the engine, then put it back together misaligned?

All I did was detach the old cable, put the new one on, pulled the chord and it was gone before I let go of it. I guess it's been boggy the 1st couple times it's ridden, then runs fine for a bit then bogs back down at 1/2 throttle. Carb is clean, adjusted to factory specs but I have no idea what it is. The linkage is at full idle but the actual governor is always at WOT.

The forks look smashed in.

It was like that when the kid I got it off from got it from the guy he got it from.

You need a return spring for the arm when u take out the governor always trying to smash on the imports . I used to smoke everyone on the freeway when I drove a prius topped out at 107 with 35 mpg lol :p

No I'm not actually and 35 mpg is bad gas mileage for a prius it can get up to 50. And it gets to top speed quick because its one gear (cvt) and doesn't shift.

I don't need a card to feel like a man. I'm not some little short guy that needs a big lifted truck to make up for something I don't have :p And I don't drive it anymore .

If you drive a Prius... you failed life. You failed the biggest test of them all with the Disapproval of ALL true gearheads and pretty much anyone with a sense of morality and dignity. Period.

At least it doesn't cause more environmental damage just manufacturing it than my '78 Nova has in its whole life...

Shipped to multiple countries via a hopscotch flight path JUST to make one plastic crapbox that stills uses it's original electrical design. So yes. Dodge IS better in every way because it's reliable, One of the Big 3, and you're not a universal hate target driving one...

All prius owners are the same... Ecofreaks who show fear whenever someone disagrees with them because they know better but are too affraid to admit it.

Now... If you want to put your big boy pants on and leave it there so the thread can stay on topic to the title... I'm sure everyone wouldn't mind that...

Funny how your location changed from "So Cal" to just "USA" and now...
you don't drive it anymore.
It's an improvement down here at our level isn't it?

You and chancer started it I was just stating facts about a car, and you to had to insult me for driving it . I never intended to have a dispute about the prius . By the way your Honda is a import , Suzuki, Yamaha , kawi clones imports etc etc. Most modern mini bikes are Chinese.

For your problem try loosening the 10 mm bolt on top of the arm to make it swing easier (should be smooth) and make sure your spring allows the carb butterfly to open and close all the way. If not change your spring and try a different location till it works.

I didn't own the prius but I drove it a couple times a week for work it was a fun little car with good mpg. I have only owned trucks because I need to haul my bikes ,tools, and equipment etc . Its faster than the prius but only gets 15 mpg

Well found the issue. At some point one of the idiots who had this in their possession decided it'd be a good idea and use a threaded puller and hammer to get the carb studs out. There's a HUGE chip and crack on the intake port on the head, not to mention a botched valve "Bore". So this nice unkillable $389 Honda engine is junk...
