Picked this up from my former boss for free. '97 D21 w/ only 130k on it. 5spd of course. Factory light weight fenders and body for them JDM freaks!

In the 20 years working with this thing this is the only truck I've seen that will take 4 tons of peastone in the bed (old factory one) and carry it up a 158ft, 33 degree grade clay hill. I have a pic of it somehwere...

(4 tons is 3 Backhoe front bucket fulls in this case. Bucket has a scale on it.)

Well....I could make a joke how this is bragging on your capacity to accept rear loads....

Sorry NO WAY. You would Fold the leaf springs in half first, not to mention the tires.
and really it a 5speed so clutch.
I mean I am all good for a story.... but I am not stupid.

I never said it didn't suffer. RL leaf broke, last 18" of the frame bent, and the RR tire got gouged due to the inner flare and peeled the outter tread off the tire. Just because YOU didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Also it was 2.5 tons in the truck and 1.5 in the lowboy trailer.

1st time I drove it was onto the trailer to bring it home. Only time I break something is when I want it to be broken. Other than that I leave it to MALES to break crap.

Keep in mind...."the old factory bed".....that's because most of the pea gravel went through the rusty holes in the bottom!

Back to the original subject...

The frame is solid and the drivetrain was new 10 years ago. I was kinda thinking taking off the body and making a sand rail outta it. Dana 40 in front, 60 locker in the rear and the front is already full lock. I got enough mud trucks but frame up custom rigs I don't. I'll prolly upload some designs when I get the chance.

On the other hand. I picked this thing up for the best deal every conceived. '94 GL1500A SE Touring, only 69k, and about $3k worth of accessories on it. Tax and everything was less than $2800.
