tonight we dig the post holes with the auger! we'll back fill them before bed then clean them out and pour concrete first thing in the morning, while that cures we'll install the rest of the entire fence, it's going to be an interesting weekend to say the least, I went to social media and told all my biker friends there is free beer for anyone who wants to hang out around the property this weekend, and tomorrow LOL

Thursday night I received a cease and desist letter signed by 5 of my neighbors. They instructed me to stop my fence build as they are seeking "easement by prescription". The letter was a hack job and they should be embarrassed by it. That type of easement is defined as hostile use of another's property. So "please stop building your fence so we can steal your land from you". They mentioned I'd be blocking emergency services from getting to their homes and they'd sue me if they experienced loss from it

well Friday morning we dug holes, mixed concrete, and set posts. man oh man is this New River soil a mother, it took 30-60 minutes per hole with the Kubota diesel tractor and auger to break through the rock and caliche, and we busted the auger (a little bit) on the last hole.

Neighborhood is in an uproar. This wouldn't be an issue if the 2 guys west of me opened their easement. Knowing they are going for a hostile take over of my land and that they haven't yet, my land is still private property, and just like I dont have permission to improve the other guys' easement, no one has permission to touch my land, while the claim that I'm blocking emergency services is out there we're going to make it MISERABLE to drive on my land- but hey you can still do it for now

We're making speed bumps every 6 feet along that property line, hopefully it will cause the through traffic to the west of the property line and get them talking to the 2 knuckleheads to open up some more room

Oh, and the foresight these idiots lack: the PITA backyard lady, who signed the cease letter, text me and asked me to remove my poles, sure lady. let me help you with that

I didn't fully realize Friday night the neighbors called the sheriff on me, the sheriff came out a little after dark, drove down the easement then left. Yesterday we we're swinging the pick axe making more speed bumps and 2 sheriffs came out to confront us. I explained the situation and they simply drove away. I hope whoever called was able to watch that interaction.

Also I've been studying Maricopa County law and the court system, I do not believe they'll be able to assign an easement to me, with a perfectly legal, recorded, but otherwise blocked easement right next to it.

I'm ready to take this to court and I am confident I will win. But I'm trying to reason with these neighbors and see if we can get someone to move a few boulders out of the way. With our speed bumps we can see people are not driving on our side until they get to the north corner where the boulders force them on to my land. Seriously- move a few boulders and that's all it would take to keep this out of court.

The PITA nabe's husband has figured out how to make the southwest corner in a single pass, he's using the real easement. That being said he has to romp the berm that's on the easement but we're proving to them we're not blocking them and showing them how to use the recorded easement. I'm mailing all of them a letter to explain I dont want to fight, I just want to enforce my property rights, just as they do.

Well we set the last concrete post yesterday and I installed a fence panel that makes up the northwest corner.

My vision of the lot is getting clearer, once this fence is done, I can move a bunch of rocks off my driveway, that were placed to prevent these guys from cutting across my lot some 50' inside the property line. I can then enter and exit the property from my driveway towing the toy hauler by creating a drive that runs down the fence line.

And I believe this is the bull snake that I grabbed by the tail on Memorial Day, he was chillin by the front porch early yesterday morning.

I'm glad the sheriff appeared and didn't mess with you. It shows the nabes that you are in the right. Otherwise the sheriff would have done something. I would be doing the same as what you are doing. It's your land and you can do what you want with it. Just because things have worked a certain way for years, doesn't mean that it is right

And unless that letter you got sent had some legal stamps or signed by some official lawyer, it is just a joke and can be ignored

so I walk down but stay on my property to hear the conversation, in front of the sheriff she threatened me with lawyers and can you believe it: bikers! she named someone and his affiliation in front of me, let's just say I sent a single text to a MUCH bigger player and the neighbor was soon set straight by the person she named, her boyfriend was talking about filing a complaint against my permit, man the things we're going to do if any one does that but we'll just see what happens over the next couple days

so I came home Tuesday and found a notice attached to my permit with orange stickers that says "REJECTED", they're official forms from the county but not from the right department, I sent the image to the county official who helped me apply for my permit and he's investigating, I bet one of these lousy neighbors has a friend at county that did that, I hope that person gets in trouble

Dang, they're playing dirty. If they do end up rejecting your fence, put it up along the side of the road on your property and then make a bunch of potholes. Make their daily life commutes a living H E double hockey sticks. Then you wouldn't be "restricting" emergency services access.

ha! they've taken to nextdoor.com to gripe about me, one of the 2 blocking the easement accuses me of blocking the easement! I publicly offered him a deal out there which starts with him clearing his easement, we'll see how that goes

so we had our sit down, I like the guy, but he buggered all this up for me, he has a legal service as I do, we get free consultations and potential discounts on some legal endeavors, well his IDIOT lawyer read my deed and did not understand the bit about a 30' easement that is more than 1/4 mile away from my house so he tells my neighbor they want to pull plat maps, in the meantime, the neighbor tells the other neighbors his attorney is going to figure out how to open that 30' easement on my lot, as of now this neighbor knows he was wrong and he's pulled out of the fight, but I'm like dude you need to undo what you've done- I dont know if he will or not but I will keep putting on the pressure

Some of these neighbors have griped about the situation on nextdoor.com, I messaged one and offered we hire a surveyor to show us that 30', if its on my lot I'd pay for it, if not on my lot he'd pay for it, he replied I should get a good lawyer cause I'm in over my head, I simply replied "thank you" and let's face it, I'm not the dummy asking for advice on nextdoor to begin with

I moved some rocks as you can see in the surveillance picture to prevent these idiots from driving across my lot to cut the corner, someone likes to move the rocks and now I'll figure out who it is

I bought a DVR and camera system and have it set only to record motion, I want to install a camera on this electric pole pointed back at the front of my house so I can see if anyone pulls up the driveway or is at the door, as for mounting to the pole, it is on my lot, only goes to my house, and I dont care about the legality of it, better to ask forgiveness than permission on this one however I'm not sure how to wire the power, the camera has a 12V transformer at the 110v plug, even if I installed a weather resistant receptacle on the pole the transformer wouldnt fit in it. Either way I'll trench some conduit from the house to the pole

Use bigger rocks, bigger is always better. Even better if you have to move them with your tractor/front loader.

Gl with the surveillance cameras and great idea.

Heck if you get your fence up and leave the cameras up, your house will be like a high security building

yeah my dad and I were looking at rocks he has, he is so funny, his loaning me some big ones to help enforce the property line, we will need the tractor to load them and move them

as for my camera on the pole, I've decided to run aircraft wire from the house to pole and extend the 12V wires so the transformer is in the house, the aircraft wire will support the 12V wires, hopefully there wont be enough voltage drop to affect the camera

Do any of you have experience with these cameras? I have a Bayit wifi camera which looks identical to the Night Owl system I bought, I would love to get the Bayit camera connected to the DVR, but I believe Night Owl uses a proprietary signal from DVR to cameras and back, can I configure the Bayit camera to that signal?

Idk anything about security cameras but a while back I found this app called "Manything". It basically turns an old iPhone into a security camera, I've never used it but the app is free and might be something to look into.

What about a trail cam?

I have 100' runs on a few of my cameras. Didn't measure the voltage but they work.
