Hi, I'm new. I am not sure if anyone thinks that a 32mm Mikuni is way too big a carburetor for a 5hp flathead. I don't. My flathead is a bone stock 5hp off of a pressure washer. I bought the 32mm mikuni and a muffler for $5 at an engine show. The minibike is a Motovox MBX-10 that the stock crank broke in half on. The engine runs surprisingly well for such a hacked together project. Please say what you think! I will try to post some photos tomorrow.

i say, get some billet performance parts on there before you blow the rod:p are you running stock springs? that should be fine if you keep the stock springs in there.

If only if only. :drool5: I am at the point where I have close to zero money that I want to to spend! High School.

Poboy, that is correct "bone stock". The only time that engine has been apart was when I had the head off. I thought there was a big problem, but it turns out rag air cleaners do not work the best when they get sucked into the cylinder!

I know.....I was telling Grant "KartFab" that....(no danger of blowing stuff up or need for billet parts)....and just guessing....(not really up on the metric carb measurements, but pretty sure it's WAY big for stock!)

Yeah, it has been running with the big carb since mid-October. With the stock carb it would barely pick up the front wheel if you leaned back while accelerating from a stop.

Normally the 22mm carb is preferred, but hey it works...

Also you might want to correct those high speed forks.

The front end doesn't really matter if it's off the ground most of the time anyway.

Ok guys, here's one for you. I have a GX160, I also have a 38mm flat slide lectron. I need 150% of the amount of fuel that it would take to run rich on alcohol. Any ideas, or am I completely off the reservation here?

Also, can you post video? I think fast minibikes are awesome.

The rod dipper will break with just the stock springs if you run it wot for a while. Ive had 2 rod dippers break on 2 ungoverned briggs which caused the piston to seize in the block.

After a certain rpm's the rod dipper will just be passing the oil by in the permanent drought as the oil ceases to flow in again.
