Not for you to know!
So I'm building a go kart with full suspension. I think I'm going to call it The Look out. I have some lawn mower wheels I might use for the back but I'm not sure if I will use them just cause their lawn mower wheels I would like to get some atv wheels. I'm probaby going to use the habor frieght 420cc engine to power this kart I want this to be kind of like a off road mini buggy I'm going to build a roll cage. its only going to be a one person. I will post pictures of what I have gotting done another day.

OK here is a pic of what I got done so far I still need to build the rear swing arm were the engine and stuff is going to sit.The kart still has lot of work to do as you can see. Does any body know any good tubing to use for the roll cage? Picture that you see is just the bottom of the frame I still need to build it more up ward but I'm running out of tubing and welding rods and money.

id recommend doing it off a set of plans, i recommend the sabretooth plans, i am currently building one and the plans are amazing well thought out, the buggy i am building has (IRS) independent rear suspension, you could modify them if you wanted to cheap out and build a swing arm, but forr off road (IRS) is really nice to have, for the engine id recommend using a 4 stroke dirt bike engine, around a 250cc, my buggy will have a Suzuki 650 twin, and 25 inch tall tires, i bought the plans and printed them out, sliped them into page covers and into a binder, http://www.badlandbuggy.com/plans_sabretooth.html

I'd go for a four Wheel Engine as most of them have reverse as well which is a bonus.

Well I might get a transmission that has N R D so I would like to get a 20hp engine or four wheeler engine either one would be cool.

The only problem that I foresee with having one of those Transmissions that has N R D would be more maintenance, Parts Cost, Can take up more Space making your cart bigger and heavier, plus more things that might go wrong while out and about on your kart. Since then you'd have to deal with the Engine plus Chain/belt to the transmission then from transmission a Chain to the Axel.

Or...
If you went with a Four wheeler Engine you don't have to do as much since the Engine has the gears and gear reduction you'll need Built in. You can also figure on lower parts cost in some cases. Also depending on the brand of the engine you can get them pretty fast (and easier in some places). Some engines are shaft-driven in which case you'll also need to get a differential to go with it.

What i mean to say is that Both ideas Have their pros and Cons
I hope this Helps you out with your engine choice.

Yeah if I can get a four wheeler engine I probably will or a snowmobile engine.
