I really considered doing just that! I was thinking some ATV front hydraulic discs would be cool, but have decided to just keep it simple for now.

I did a little more work on it today, but nothing really pic-worthy. lol I did get all the wheels on and set it on the floor so I could measure up some stuff for the kiddos.

Ok here's where I am now. I was using the car ramp as a seat to map out the seat placement and steering height.

I have a brake pedal and clutch pedal from my Ranger that I think I am going to cut down to make the pedals.

I need to find a cheap steering wheel....

Worked on the seats today. Had some old AT&T cable rack that worked very well to make some seat frames.

I had to scrounge up two extra welding helmets so my kids could watch. lol

Steering is overrated....

but free stuff is not!

Free steering wheel. It's actually a pretty nice Sparco, but free is FREE!

Oh sweet! That steering wheel even has two buttons! One for the kill switch and one for the NOS! Don't get the two mixed up!

Took the cheesy cover off the steering wheel and made a hub to mount it on the kart. I just plasma'd a circle out of plate steel and welded a big nut to it after using the die grinder to make the nut slip over the shaft. Drilled it for a cross bolt and it was done.

That worked out nicely , I`m thinking of doing something similar to make a hub with the plate to bolt my rear rims to ,, Bill

Very nice work so far Are you going to hook the buttons both up to a kill swich or you going to leave one off?

One button is broken, so only one will be connected to the kill switch.
