The Coleman...

Ah yes. The Coleman. The trusty stove that's been around since the days of Grizzly Adams and the Quadracycle...

However this isn't too far off from a Quadracycle though. I stayed with routine and went in to the local Tractor Supply to harass the counter lady and off in the distance I find this shiny red glimmer of a beauty. I walk up to it, and it's a BLEEPing minibike! It's nothing like the Bajas they sold back in the day but it was definitely built well (wait for it). It was big, it was red, it had a TC, and it was 7hp (so they claimed)

What I really don't get is the 80cc small bike that was less expensive was set up better. 4" disk brake, full rocker kill switch, throttle lock, comfy seat, and even has proper foot pegs. The 196cc one was like sitting on a vinyl-wrapped cinderblock with your feet behind your ***, had a janky drum brake that barely gripped at full lock, and the engine didn't feel any different than pulling a piece of string through water...

Has anyone heard of or tried a Coleman CT200U

Clutch is garbage.
Wheel bearings are garbage.

It's a full TC. Took off the guard and it was a tiny one but it was one.

i looked it up and saw two different looks. one with an actual TC and the cover saying so. and then what looks to be a clutch and jackshaft. but it could be a little TC? no here is a picture clutch and jackshaft!!!

Hey Mindymogul, I actually have 3 of them. The ct200u is a great bike! It only comes with a centr clutch, although you can add a TC easily. I have and it runs great! One bike I tore down and rebuilt it, soup to nuts. One is stock, the other is still in the box lol, I might sell it.
I do recommend them for the size, tall frame rides on 19x7-8 tires, holds over 200lbs. Any questions just ask, I know this particular bike in and out.

I wonder if Coleman is selling a tractor supply model that has a TC, like a store exclusive model.
How much was it?

Did you pick all those up with the black friday specials or something else? How much did they set you back? With the monster moto minibike the biggest downfall was the tiny, junk engine, followed by the poor rubber and I didn't like the throttle. The frame however is well built and the manual disk brake has a kinda crazy amount of stopping power. What are the ups and downs of this one?

No just over a course of time, after I custom built the first one I was hooked. The motovox and moto were just too small frame wise, ct200 is great size.
Stock gearing is 5:1 which is too high. It has a 50t rear sprocket lol.
So I got it to 7.2:1 and much better, the TC is happy...purrs at 45mph, governor removed of course.

These were going for $399 or so during Black Friday at the 4 Walmarts around me. Maybe one was bought between all 4 stores. Pretty good deal, considering Fleet Farm sells a 80cc mini bike with disc brakes for $399. All the mini bikes at TSC here are CC only and not TC, kind of sucks.

Yeah but then the price goes up which maybe some people don't mind, I mean tractor supply sold the mb200 for like $800
