Hey I have a 2007 Civic SI (200 hp). Last time I checked a Briggs 5 hp flathead can't make 50 hp. The guy broke the connecting joints in a later video. Still like the Briggs flathead though even though they are so inefficient.

Buy a luvbug, pop a WRX STI engine in it... call it good.

Haven't watched the video but by my count there's either 4 or 5 flatheads. Might end up being close to 40lb/ft of torque but a civic could probably still win.

Probably? It has 139 ft lbs of torque and revs to 8100 rpm without throwing a rod. Why is this even a question of probably? Also gets 30 mpg.

A go kart with driver will still be 1000+ lbs lighter than a Civic so it has a weight advantage. Maybe up to 150 feet the kart may have an advantage but get 1/10 of a mile and the Civic will win.
