The friendly one? Its actually one of those yellow hens, its a buff orpington...
The red ones are Rhode Island Reds, the black art Jersey Giants, the striped ones are Barred Plymouth Rocks, and then theres 2 Dark Cornish, and some Partridge Plymouth Rocks...

My dad picked them out... got the good layers, cold hardy, and friendly-er kinds.

Yes... their scratching. They did a number to the rubarb. We are going to have to fence in the garden, they can have their fun before its planted, and in the fall. And ofcouse add their deposits!

I also want to get a few chickens and grow them organically. Nevertheless, I am personally trying to build a much simpler coop, as I don't have the time or skills to make a full-size one. I have found these plans and want to ask you if they are good for just a few chickens or I need something bigger.

Welcome to the forum. I would say that if you have more than 10 chickens or so, you would need something bigger. I am just looking at the size of the chickens they have in the plan

I think those plans should be good for you.

Why don't you make a thread in the Introduction section and tell us what brought you to this site. Have you got any motorised projects going on?

No, but my dream has always been to build my own go kart. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to make it come true, beside buying an old two-stroke engine. I was just checking the go kart plans and I am really impressed. The details are amazing and I am so sad I haven't found this forum several years ago. I will start a diy project after having my garage done (I have just moved to a new property).

It is never too late to start. If you have the engine, you are half way (or maybe a third...or a 1/4) of the way there.
