The CBR build

Hey all I stumbled onto your form via Google and well I thought I should join because of all the knowledge most of you have, so here goes... I am building a CBR929RR kart, I have everything to finish the motor now I need to build/buy a kart I have friends that are in the Kart scene and they tell me that the kart industry is in the pooper because of the economy and it’s the best time to buy. Now I was thinking should I build one (with this kart the iffy part is that it would have independent suspension) or should I buy one?
Thoughts?

i would buy a shifter kart chassis and then make my own suspension or just take the suspension out of a quad

I didn't think that a shifter chassis had suspension.

I think im going to build a Hybrid between a Shifter chassis and a formula kart, because my friend who goes to Western Washington University hand drew and prototyped a couple designs we have 4 others but heres one that i took a cell phone picture of..
