Whipped up a cool little steering wheel for the kart and mounted steering shaft started making pedals. I thing it's starting to come together pretty well

im trying to figure out how I want to mount the sheet metal for the floor pan on the Kart. im torn on if I should flip the cart over and drill holes where the frame rails are and rivet it to the frame. or should I attempt to weld it to the frame. placing it on the bottom and welding the 90 degree at the top side where it meets the frame. any ideas are appreciated:idea2:

my only worry is that I will burn through the sheet metal trying to weld it

What thickness of sheet metal are you using? If you decide to rivet it in, make sure to do that above the frame rails, so when you step on the floor there won't be downward pressure on the rivets. They will pull right out the second there is any weight on them.
