Rear End

Well here is what my rear end should look like. Its 24" long by 15" wide looks pretty good with the 399cc briggs.

Btw this is not the tubing that I'll be using, its just scrap metal that happened to be the exact size. I'll be going to pick up the tubing this week end.

But here are some preview pictures and the blue print off the rear end.

and yes it is a lawn mower hanle but its just for fitment purposes

lol well heres some what of the design for the cart i'm still debating front mont engine from rear mount... i made a design of both so suggestions anyone please?

and i'll be installing some speakers on it. heres a pik of these bad boys 4x audiopipe vocals 2x 300w subs and a 400w amp

You'll need a better charging system and battery to run those, they draw a good enough amount of power that every once in a while you wont be able to start your engine. The most you could do with the stock charging system is a small 100 or 200watt head unit a couple door speakers.

lol it'll work with 100w the amp was in my room being powered by my ps2 power source all i need 8volts or 3+amps and i think the battery is more then 4 amps so it'll work.

but dude i'm stuck on how to mount the engine any help?

Really a PS2 power supply gave you enough power? with my amps i always had to use computer power supplies, and even with a 200w computer power supply i still couldnt always get the volume i wanted without the amp kicking off.

To mount the engine, you could just cut out the mounting plate of the lawnmower and weld it onto your frame.

doesn't really depend on how many watts the power supply has just on how much amprege for example most car batteries are 800w wats and 60-80amps. a speaker amplifier on uses about 40-90watts but needs 3+amps to work. my ps2 power supply has 4.5amps which gives me enough power to hook up those 6 speakers and have a loud *** surround sound.

and thanks it would be kinda easier to mount it in the front and pass the lawn mower belt under the chassis

Ok really crap phone pic but ill try to explain. Its a L shaped piece of flat steel, at the end of the L (bottom part of the L) is a bearings for the pivot, at the end of the long line in the L is an idler pulley. a little way up the long line in the L are some holes drilled for the spring and the rod that pulls the tensioner away from the belt when you push the clutch pedal. Also make sure you put the tensioner on the side of the belt that is not being pulled on (if that makes sense)

Like i said in your other thread, keep the transaxle and run it at around 20-25 tops and i think you'll be fine, if you want to be on the safe side you can wait for me to finish my mower which im gearing for around 20-25, i will be using a peerless 920 race prepped, and locked, ill let you know how it holds up.

That would work for a tensioner, i'll try and draw you up a pic of how mine works, not sure if i even have paint, but ill try.

Ok here we go, really bad drawing but you get the point
Key:
1- Tensioner Spring
2- Belt
3- L Shaped tensioner arm
4- Engine Pulley
5- Transaxle Pulley
6- Pivot Point of L shaped tensioner arm
7- Tensioner relief rod, attached to clutch pedal, it gets pulled on and takes pressure off belt.

thanks dude and sorry if i'm starting to get annoying around here but i was cleaning off my transaxle and noticed that the breather was clogged so i opened it up to get a better look at the gears to see if there was any type of wear on then. they're like new having little sign of abuse.

now that im putting it back together everything is bolted up i turn put it in gear to see that everything is fine and rotates 3/4s of the way then stops as if sopmething was jammed between the gears.

im guessing i have to get back in there and rebuild it slowly?

did you absolutely make sure you put it back together right? But yes taking it apart again is the way to go.

yea im absolutely sure even though i had some trouble with the chain but i'll rebulid it again slowly insepct the gears for any missing teeth and get back... ill post some pictures.

hours later.... i've taken it apart and tired to rebuild it several times and have the same out come....

really i'll give this a couple more trys tomorrow or use some other method....

lol there similar to peerless and the same as foote, but i think i know what i did wrong now.
