I would start over friend. Take it all a part and paint it black with a por15 starter kit. Soak the shocks in brake fluid for a short time. (make sure you will not damage seals though) Brake fluid might even work on the seat and tires. Test a small part on the seat first though.

I would have this like new in a few days. It's not that bad. Better than fixing rust if you ask me. Did she paint the engine?

You got lucky. My old man would of drove over it with his truck. Not for dishes though. I would have to been in big trouble and grounded for life thing.

lol......... get a ton of paint stripper and a POR15 starter kit would be the best way to go IMO. i agree with bighead.

i got a starter kit (semi gloss black) for an old briggs tank, still have to do the second coat but its alot better so far.

i also love that marine clean as a degreaser. found it is GREAT for engine rebuilds because it takes carbon buildup right off without having to scrape it with a dremel!!! SWEET.

Ya blue Marine Clean is by far the best I have used hands down. even old nasty caked on chain lube oil and gear oil comes right off. I use normal degreaser first. Then follow up with marine clean to finish the job.

Do not think it will work on paint though.

Kendel just hit gramma up for a sand blast job. Just show her the bike as it is right now.

well i didnt want to start a new thread, because i dont want to have 2 threads on the same thing, and the title is already perfect alright well today i bolt up my briggs, got the throttle cable together and thats all good, it still needs to be tuned because its either not idling, and running great at high speed, or idling and not running well at high speed, but ill work on that tommarow, so i was at my neighbors and getting ready to break the chain, which i never got to, because he noticed that the sprocket wasnt lined up with the clutch, which is why the motor was throwing chains, so i was wondering, would it be worth it to take an old sprocket i got, and bolt that one, and the one im using to the tire? so that ill extend it out, and be lined up, also, sometimes on the pull start, sometimes it wont retract and i have to pull it out longer for it to go back in, and when everythings good, the spring and bolt on the front of the pull start decides to rattle really bad, and its annoying, and also, sometimes weve notcied then trying to tune it, it was hooked to a test wheel pulled out and set on in axle between, and when it backfires, that muffler backfires right at the tire, which makes me feel like its going to blow the back tire, is this a big issue? im trying to get a chain broke, and better exhaust, my sprocket and clutched lined up, all on a budget of 5 dollars :toetap05:

just use the pull start as is, try to tighten the bolt though. and wd-40 on the recoil spring might help.
