remember THIS thread? Well I just ordered a tappet wrench and got the quad starting right when you ask it to

I cleaned the carb thoroughly which was dirty but otherwise brand new and I still have weird idling issues with this thing, the RPMs sometimes fluctuate on their own indicating an intake leak but thats why I replaced the carb and its still happening

the other and more pressing issue it the thottle bogs down and tends to kill the quad when we rapidly give it full throttle, I dont get it, I've cleaned the new carb twice and I'm baffled

Can you do a leak down test?

I guess I'd have to get a kit, so you think it could be a problem in the cylinder?

Could be anything. That's why I suggest a leak down.
You can tell if it's ring or valves or gaskets.
