If I understand correctly it may have been Twilliams11 and Robert as a team but Landuse and Anderkart were pulling their hair out keeping the spam under control as much as they could. Definitely our best firefighters

There hasn't been any new members in a long time. My guess is they are not going to consider any new members till the spam problem is resolved.

Knock on wood but I think we may be “good” and better off than oldminibikes at this moment in time as our admin team has made this place more stable and with safeguards in place that trap the obvious spambots as they register. Cutting off all new registration is quite a drastic move, especially in an era where the discussion forum and its format is waning in popularity. Right now OMB are cocooned in their own bubble. Old members can leave but no one new can come in to replace them. …

I get the frustration, but we powered through the spam and the server errors for weeks and if not longer.
