I had better and lost it due to the **** recession. Also lathe horizontal bore machine and so many other tools, make me mad that the people you elect can go back on campaign promises and screw you without any legal action taken against them.

This was to see if my basic elcheapo tablet would load photos right side up automatically. 'Sid was explaining that many smart phones and tablets have a base reference plain that they use when taking photos and video, which is why you moderators are kept busy correcting/ flipping upside down & sideways photos.

My thoughts for this thread were that I could figure out the how's and why's of moving photos and video between my old laptop, my new tablet & my new to me smart phone, thus not adding to the crouding in the how to load photos sticky.

Besides, someone might find some of this humorous.....

Such as the next one, which came off of the SD card out of my old phone. It show's a ladle of molten nickel bronze about to be poured into the waiting moulds. It just goes to show that I have more to learn....

The learning curve has begun!!!!

Here's the last photo, plus a couple more showing the guy's in the foundry pouring several molds. Like I stated before, they're working with nickel bronze, heated up to ~ 3000°F. Better them than me.

There's always more to learn....

As I stated above, there's always more to learn. Such as why the tablet has suddenly lost all internet connection, and gets really hot in one corner when I turn it on. It's going back under warranty when I head to work in what will be this afternoon (my tomorrow).

But yeah, I figured out how to flip and save photo's, as well as how to access them on the tablet. Still have to figure out video, as well as what look like some really cool functions in the photo editor. If Verizon can transfer all of my data to another tablet, I'll just take out the longest extended warranty I can, and run with it.

Also need to figure out how to get the Iphone 4 to talk to either the tablet or the laptop without having to burn up my data plan (my internet comes thru my cell provider, since no one seems to be interested in running anything better down the road I live on). People claim it can be done; I just haven't gotten that far yet.....

I only know a couple of the guys in the foundry by name as it only runs one shift (first); the machine shop runs three shifts, and I am on second. We haven't had an injury accident in the machine shop or the foundry since I started, but I've seen the commotion that a large leaky two piece mold can generate. Where you saw them pouring is along side of the main molding area; the sand handling/recycling system has a couple of hundred feet of rubber conveyor belts one story down under the grating you see on the floor.

As you can imagine, any leaks turn into an all hands evolution.......
