Tell about what you got or built, and what you had to do to keep it going, and,or fix it. It doesnt matter if it was yesterday, or like me, 40 or more years ago. Any old pics would be cool too.

About 20 years ago I traded an old Haro bike for a mini chopper, I have pics of the Haro but not the chopper.

I tossed on a 3HP Flathead Briggs, controlled the throttle with my hand on the carb and had no brakes.. That thing was fun. :lolgoku:

Now I just have the one I built for my kids to ride... although I ride it more then them.

My first Mini Bike was a 1969 Kawasaki Coyote MB-1 and I did a lot of stupid things to it that I should not have!

I bought my first mini about 41 years ago. I got it used and never knew the make or model. The frame was all chrome with front and rear suspension and a 3hp briggs. The engine had a lot of problems. The bike was the worst i ever seen about the chain coming off. The previous owner tightened the chain up real tight and burned out the main bearing, then the oil leaked out and destroyed the rest of the engine. After some time I figured out what was up with the chain and found a way to crutch it. Bad design.
I figured some day I would find a picture of one and then I would know. Tonight was the night, This bike is just like mine. It was sold as a All American, or JC Pennys El Tigre, or Maverick II

I have one in the works right now, but it's going a bit slow. Basically just a rebuild/mod of a Baja Doodlebug.

Currently working on fabbing up a new "neck" to hold BMX handlebars on it, because the last time I wrecked it the original handlebars were damaged beyond repair.

I found an old picture of my 60's trail machine that was a competitor to the Tote Gote at back in the day that I had modified and made into a wild ride and the brand of the machine was called a Trail Blazer I sent this picture of my creation to a web site that no longer is up that had all kinds of pictures and information about these old trail machines they were the first so called ATV's of their kind the first ones were invented in Utah by a man by the name of Ralph Bonham the inventor of the Tote Gote.I lowered the rear axle four inches and I made a complete front end that had six inches of travel and I installed larger Good Year extra traction tires that were used back in the 60's I made all the body panels out of aluminium and they were attached with Dzus fasteners so I could take all the panels off easily in order to maintain the machine. The engine was a Honda GX270 that I had modified with porting, shaved cylinder head, lightened flywheel etc and I had a GX340 carb on the engine. The clutches I used were Comet a 41 driver and a 40 driven I made the belt cover out of old weed eater shafts and it would unlatch and swing out of the way for quick belt or clutch service.I made my own disc brake system and chain wipers and the machine had a two gallon fuel tank I climbed some pretty steep terrain with this thing it was kinda fun to ride and it would do 45 on the level. This picture was taken before I installed an exhaust shield over the pipe but I had it wrapped up with insulating wrap
