How do you hold throttle cable housing from moving on Tecumseh engine on go kart? There is nothing near the govenor.

Find a suitable location and fab up a bracket. Even a pice of allround folded over would do.

Was this some kind of generator motor before? It doesn't look like it used to have an adjustable throttle.

The motorsports engines had what they can an RV throttle control plate. Makes hooking the cable up very simple. Maybe you can find one on ebay or a lawn parts site. It would be easier to spend the $20 or whatever than trying to fab something up with that weird setup.

i don't know it came with kart when i bought it. it says power sport on the side of engine.

i circled the threaded hole i was talking about, and the arrow is how to throttle up and down.

doesn't the cable itself go through that hole right below the little screw? With a cable stop nut?

you need to drill out the hole on the arm underneath the arrow and put a crimp nut.

is there any springs or linkage that i can order from the website you sent me?

No, you would have to find a model/serial off of a powersport series motor and try to order the throttle plate assy and the springs from a mower shop or parts site.
