For Christmas I asked for a 212cc Predator to swap in to replace the POS Tecumseh 6hp. I was tired of the old engine taking forever to start and not idle up to par . So this morning I started the swap. First, I unhooked the throttle linkage to the old engine. Then, I tried a new clutch installation on the Predator. Turns out the teeth are wrong, so I had to re-use the old rusty one. I had many troubles with the stupid clutch, taking it on and off like 6 times :2guns:. After I got the right oil for the job and topped off the fluids, we test-fired the motor for the first time. I unbolted the Tecumseh and installed the Predator, tightened the chain, and, with slight modification, got the stock throttle cable attached. Test drove the motor till it got dark. This thing is wicked fast :smiley_omg:! I'm planning an exhaust upgrade, etc. I do have a problem, though; Whenever I drift/ turn sharply to the right, it fuel-starves and dies. anybody have an answer to that problem? Thanks and merry Christmas!:toetap05:

That's not a fuel starvation problem, it's the low oil sensor kicking in...

On the front side of the engine (near the seat) you will see a yellow wire with a connector inline; disconnect it & you shouldn't have any more problems with the engine cutting out...

On a side note, the disconnected yellow wires can now be used to connect a remote kill switch ;)
