Tecumseh OHH60 and lights

hello all! I got my kart going with a centrifugal clutch and in the process I noticed two wires. I did a little research and found that they are live wires. now, I want to put lights on the front of my kart to see at night while riding.

how would I go about doing this? I would like to have a toggle so they aren't on unless I want them on. also I would like to use a lawnmower battery so the lights aren't dimmer as I lay off the gas. I want to know how to wire this all up properly so I am charging the battery while riding and I can flip the lights on and off. there are two wires, a yellow an red. In the photo, the yellow is on top and the red is on bottom.

EDIT: Also, how would I go about drilling out the jet on this carb? im going to be putting a free flowing exhaust and high flow filter on and will probably have to drill out the main jet a size..

Are you sure they are not just the oil sensor and kill switch wires?

With drilling out jets, I would not do it unless your engine tells you that you need to. Do the mods that you need to do, and then do a spark plug test to see if it needs to be drilled.

no, the kill switch wire is located on the front by the recoil start, it also has a green wire that runs down with a connector to wire a remote killswitch which was already installed on the cart. also, I don't see any matching connectors, or any spot on the block for an oil sensor, so I do think they are for wiring lights and stuff, but my engine isn't electric start..

okay, so I now learned it is in fact a lighting coil. the red wire is DC+ current at 3 amps and the yellow is AC current at 5 amps. how do I wire two lights on the front of my kart? ill be using a pair of led lights that only draw 1.25 amps at 12v

Run the lights of of the dc output on the moter and ground to the moter. They will do fine.
