I have looked all over this thing and somebody has gotten rid of the marking that are on it. I need a carburetor for it or a rebuild kit. I have cleaned it 3 times and it still wont get any fuel. I have found carbs on ebay for $30 but don't know which one to buy for it.

My non-educated guess would be a H30 or H50.

A 143 number indicates a CRAFTSMAN badged Tecumseh. If not CRAFTSMAN the number will not begin with 143xxx, but will start with Hxxxxx
That's a very rare adjustable diaphragm carb. There are numbers stamped on the carb that should indicate what model the carb is and ultimately what rebuild kit to use.

There are numbers on the carb. BUT it is too far disintegrated on the insides to rebuild the whole thing. I can get a similar newer version for $30 which is cheaper than attempting to fix this one. I just needed to know what engine cause nobody can cross reference this dinosaur carb.

Well I still think it's the
h35 (just seen a craftsman 143 754042 [H35 - 45592R] with a similar carb)
So see if you can see a number starting with 828 stamped to it.

In which case it's Tecumseh part number is 632208 (discontinued)
and that's replaced by Tecumseh 632615

'sid

PS if it's not 828 let me know the numbers you have ;)
